KELLY JENSVOLD

I'm an animator and digital artist from Portland, Oregon.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Arts from Chapman University, with an emphasis in Animation. I have since gone back to school to expand my digital arts expertise into the realm of computer aided design (CAD) at Portland Community College.

​

I'm proficient at a wide array of programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Solidworks, Inventor, Fusion 360 and AutoCAD. When it comes to animation programs, my specialty is Toon Boom Harmony. However, I'm flexible, and I'm always eager to learn new things.

Since September of 2020, I have been working as a Donor Relations Manager at World Salmon Council. There, I have created graphics and icons for its newly launched online curriculum website called Salmon Watch Streaming.

Before that, I worked as an Administrative Assistant and Shop Technician at RapidMade, a 3D printing and manufacturing company.

​

Since graduating from Chapman University, I've also pursued my passion for animation, working as a freelance animator and digital artist for local studios such as Big-Giant, where I worked on an animated web series entitled "Blubburbs."

​

I am also a recently certified Climate Reality Leader. This means I have completed one of Al Gore's Climate Reality training conferences, and that I'm certified to represent Climate Reality and give presentations about the facts and urgency surrounding climate change. In fact, I participated in the very first virtual Climate Reality training conference.

My greatest creative achievements include my senior thesis film, "Luv Boids," and a viral animated film I made from scratch about a proposed fossil fuel project in Oregon called "13 Facts about Jordan Cove."

I've wanted to become an animator my whole life. In fact, I have animated on the computer ever since I first learned Adobe Flash in elementary school, and I have continually created art and designs on the computer since then.
